With the new run-scribes, I have been trying to figure out the best mounting for me.
Today I did two runs changing from heel mount to lace mount between them.
Now I have read and understand that foot-strike is more of an heuristic and contact time is more of a science. That being said, I would expect my imbalances between my left and right would be the same, and they are not.
For heel mounts I have a low right imbalance, 3.9 foot strike (same on both), -13.9, -19.9 pronation excursion, 265 contact time
For lace mounts I have a high left imbalance, 1.2/1.1 foot strike, -18.1, 15.9 pronation excursion, 249 contact time
Now my second run (the 1 miler) was a lot faster so it isn't quite the apple to apple comparison, but so far in my brief analysis I'm getting a right imbalance when I put them on the heal and high left imbalance when I put them on my laces.
With how my shows wear (outer back side) maybe this is just something unique to me and if so would like thought son where I should be placing them. Or maybe it is the style of the Brooks Ghost and one of the mounts just doesn't work well.
Thoughts/advice appreciated. Pictures to show how they are mounted. For lace mount I have two laces through the bottom and one through the top. If I did 4 laces total, there is a lot of pressure against the run-scribes and they are hard to snap in (especially at the latch, hence, only one lace at the top)
