Thanks for the questions - I’ll try to answer everybody’s in one response here.
@fototroll – yes, we will be providing RunScribe metrics via Connect IQ datafields, with an RS App up on the Garmin Connect IQ store when we’re closer to shipping.
@the5krunner – thanks for jumping in, as your response was spot-on!
@meste – we’ll be broadcasting Power on both BT Smart and ANT, so it’s support will depend a bit on which watch/platform, and the various options…
@jou – you’ll be able to get Power (and Running Speed/Cadence) from RunScribe Plus on Polar via BT Smart.
@linusN – we’ve moved to the latest platform from our radio/mcu supplier, which gives us both BT Smart and ANT from a radio standpoint, but also [from a geeky engineer standpoint] a whole lot more power in the form of Cortex M4F, with 512K Flash. This means that I can run full sensor fusion at 500Hz! … and perform all the quaternion conversions onboard the pods, enabling us to support all metrics directly from the pods. … I’m a bit stoked
@stephanv – we’ll continue to support V2 via the App and Web Dashboard. A number of the updates we’ll be launching in the near future will support V2… Unfortunately, power will only be available on RunScribe Plus, as we need all that (new) computing power in order to perform the calculations.
Thanks again, everyone. Keep the questions coming!
