Just checking back-in … apologies for not jumping in earlier. As @Alang did a nice job of summarizing, while there are indeed a lot of moving pieces there is definitely a plan. We’re pretty clearly pushing that plan as hard as we can, which didn’t have a lot (ok, any) room for contingencies.
I understand that some of you have been ‘around-the-block’ with us in the past, even going back to our original Kickstarter. For those of you that are still supporting us (of which there are a number) THANK YOU! I’m trying to do a better job of communicating, but it’s always a trade-off between spending time on the forums and wearing my engineering hat.
Hopefully, in 24hrs or so, you’ll see a nice email in your inbox saying “RunScribe Plus is Live!” … and some of the conjecture will be moot. I’ll be including all the info you need to make sure that you’re on the right app version, pods are updated to the correct FW, and how to configure your devices. I’ll also be including a summary of the notable changes, and what I’m looking for in terms of feedback, bug reporting, etc.
As the dweeby engineer that created this over 4years ago now, I’m as excited as I’ve ever been. The HW platform is truly amazing. The integration possible via Garmin’s Connect IQ is incredible [even if their dev tools are a bit less so]! And all the integration that is possible as a result is going to be fun. We will do our absolute best to respond to any issues, bugs, feature requests, as quickly as we can. We are a small team, so don’t always have the luxuries that a larger company might have, but I think/hope within the coming weeks, you’ll like what we’ve built.
